Back to the Start

   Since I was a child I was always into art & fashion, I used to spend a significant amount of my summer time (school vacation) in painting & drawing, cooking new recipes, Gardening, taking care of animals, & watching fashion shows I’m 80s kid.

 I majored in computer statistics, in the Science Faculty K.A.A.U in Jeddah K.S.A, I enjoyed the research part of statistics & I wanted to continue my higher studies in statistical research, what made me love statistical research “was its experimental nature” With the subtraction of all the numerical lows, & calculation processes it includes. 

 In 2010, my sister bought some felt fabric, & created a stuffed toy, it was so cute & new, we didn't had anything similar to it in Saudi market, & no one had done it in Saudi Arabia or any of the GCC countries.

 So I went & done my first stuffed felt toy which is the featured tiny Hello Kitty with the blue top & yellow shorts.

 My Sisters had created their own brand, which is the First of its kind in Saudi Arabia and all the GCC Countries & the Middle East. 

& I started a journey of learning…

& I create Soul lovely Thing.

Starting from June 2010, I started to gather ideas, learn how to design, stitch… etc

 One of the  main issues I had to deal with  was learning  how to use felt fabric & make different shapes & design out of it, making so small designs for a mobile phone size area was a challenge because it required working on tiny details, & mastering it required months, of exercise, since I didn't have any books or references to learn from.

 My first ever design I worked on was Hello Kitty, to master making a felted version of it required me 4 months of continuous exercise, till I get the final result, what took the majority of the time was to learn how to make her eyes, making its cover required 6 months, through it I learned how to sew, stitched, & make embroidery, 

“All that time because it was my first time!”

Why the name Soul Lovely Things?

Soul: everything I create is from my Soul filled with my Love & Passion.

Lovely: everything that makes people feels Lovely, when they look at it, touch it, & have it.

Things: there is no specification in the materials or the creations, I’ll experiment & create different things in different fields.
